We asked creative individuals and industry professionals in the city to be involved in LDFW6 as our Brand Ambassadors. These individuals are artists, fashion designers, baristas, gallery owners and more. We wanted to tell a visual story about our city, with our city, so we’ve asked them to participate in our week-long Instagram challenge. You can follow the challenge, and all our Brand Ambassadors on Instagram using #LDFW6
We also asked our Brand Ambassadors for 2017 to tell us a bit more about who they are, and what inspires their style.
Independent coffee shop with a focus on great coffee along with a fun, quirky atmosphere.
Leeds is a great place to be an independent cafe as there’s such a supportive coffee community that inspires and promotes each other. This influences out style as we need to be individual and different in order to stand out from such a great crowd.

How does Leeds influence your style? What inspires you in the city? *
Leeds is full of incredible, inspiring, diverse and creative people which in turn, pushes us to better ourselves everyday. The city itself is also an inspiration, having such a juxtaposition of urban and bustling in the centre to calm and tranquil on the outskirts. Any inspiration you’re looking for, Leeds can deliver.

Pump N’ Grind
We are a specialty coffee roaster and coffee shop. Justin and Jeremy started roasting coffee almost four years ago but the coffee shop element is barely a year old. The lads both fell head over heels with Leeds after studying here and felt that they could give back to the people of Hyde Park as well as pursue a passion of theirs – coffee. Needless to say, Pump n Grind was born.
The people! The people in Leeds are so vibrant and kind, it’s infectious. We feel they give so much time and love to us and we strive to give them back the like.

First and foremost I’m a baker and the founder of Noisette Bakehouse, a curious micro bakery known for its unique baked goods. I currently head up the new bakery/kitchen at North Star Coffee Shop and General Store, a collaboration between Noisette Bakehouse and North Star Coffee Roasters. My work is multidisciplinary from creating food centric events and hosting pop ups, to recipe development, copy writing, food styling and photography as a consultant for independent food producers.
Leeds is a fast paced city that has changed so much in recent years, providing new inspiration to develop my creativity and brand since first starting the business four years ago. Personally, I find it the perfect pocket of space to continue to be original in my design and presentation of food, we have access to a great range of local produce that is unique to the area, the landscapes, art and yes the weather, all combine and influence how I feel about the city and myself which in turn leads me to design and create the food that I do.
