the city talking: music in leeds, vol. 3 — premiereBack
The City Talking
We’ve spent the past few months talking to people in the Leeds music scene about the music they’ve made, the bands that influenced their sound and the venues they played. The City Talking: Music in Leeds, Vol.3 is our third film touring the histories and sources of music in the city.
We watched the film one night during Leeds International Festival, joined by our friends, family and members of the cast.
The film was followed by The AfterParty; an industry party with a pop up exhibition of archive photographs, graphics and film from the Kit Kat Club, Vague and Speedqueen, the three most fashion focused club nights in Leeds from 1992-2010.
Below you can see photos from the night, taken by Keith Kaselampao.
The City Talking: Music in Leeds, Vol.3 is made by The City Talking and produced by Hebe Works in partnership with the BBC; direction is by Lee and Stacey Hicken, and narration by Johnathan I’Anson. The film is supported by LeedsBID.
