The City Talking
This is our first A-Z issue in Manchester; it’s a chance to fill our pages with as many stories, hopes, dreams and memories as we can. Every year we speak to friends, acquaintances and strangers who we hope will become friends.
The A-Z issue always begins with a question, and this year in Manchester there were two. We wanted to know what people in Manchester had enjoyed this past year — the events, individuals and moments that made their 2015 great. We also wanted to know what they were excited about — what 2016 had promised them. We asked everyone from baristas, writers and artists to CEOs and leaders of the city’s tech community. We hope to ask even more of you next year.
All the festival gigs we got to play over the year.
I’m particularly looking forward to gigs at The Albert Hall as its one of my favourite venues. I’ll be going to see The Coral performing their brilliant new album there next week. Just down the road at the beginning of May I’m hoping to check out Sounds From The Other City festival, we played there last year and it was great!
The Pilcrow Pub
I have very fond memories of designing, making and installing the lampshades at Common in 2015; they featured as part of their recent refurbishment and I was proud to be involved with the evolution of a place that’s a bit of a local institution.
As far as 2016 goes, I’ll be looking forward to meeting and working with the array of people who have been getting in touch to contribute to The Pilcrow Pub. It’s been a joy so far and I reckon it can only get better!
